Installing WJ seats into a ZJ
I scored some very nice power/heated leather seats from a 99 WJ to put into my 97 ZJ Laredo. My 97 has cloth manual seats.
I understand the steps necessary to mount them. I also understand the wiring for the power. Power and ground, fairly simple.
I would like to make the heated portion work however. The WJ wiring goes through the PCI and BCM so I cannot wire it up as factory.
It appears the ZJ factory switches are a simple rheostat (correct?). Couldn't I just use the factory ZJ switches, run the wiring through a switched source with maybe a relay, and they'd work?

The floor pan is different in the WJ than in the ZJ and AFAIK they won't bolt it without modifications. Your plan for the heated seats is a good one, just don't forget to fuse it at least 40 amps with a relay.
