Install a 08 4.7 into a 01?

Install a 08 4.7 into a 01?
My friend's have a 2001 Cherokee with a bad 4.7, since he has to replace it what would he has to do to install an 08 4.7, Computer?

Engine: 4.0L
The later 4.7 has added things like knock sensors that the 2001 doesn't have. The basic engine may work, but you'll need all the sensors and probably the throttle body from the 01. You'd have to do the research to find out the differences.
Just checking, the 2008 has 2 spark plugs per cylinder.
