Gotta love owning a grand cherokee sometimes lol
So last week on my way to work my JGC died on me and would not fire back up. Had it towed to my shop and found a bad coil. PO put a junkyard one on it so I guess it was just a matter of time. This morning on my way to work I hop on the freeway and get about half way to the next exit when I hear this terrible fluttering sound. I check my gauges and see my temps rising fast. I get off the next exit and as I was slowing on the shoulder I notice no power steering. I figured I lost a serp belt. I pop the hood and I see my Harmonic balancer had come apart at the bonded rubber and was only being held on my my fan blades. So another tow for me to my shop and another morning of working on the jeep instead of making money lol. I changed my water pump since I was already that far in to it since my luck that would have been next.

When I was very young, I asked my Grandfather why cars were always referred to as female. He said it was because you never knew how they would react to things or what they would do next. He said I would understand as I got older. He was right! You can never predict what's going to happen next with a car OR a woman. You think you have things under control but they never seem to work out the way you planned.
They DO however fall into categories. Jeeps are like strong country farm girls, willing to work with you MOST of the time. Italian cars are like high strung runway models that must have their own way, and the list goes on.
Am I right?

So true lol. Between working on my jeep and fixing the one I just bought my daughter it seems never ending this past week and a half. I must say so far all the problems I've had have been minor and a lot cheaper than some of the other cars I've owned and worked on over the years.

Yeah, I've got a few things wrong with my WJ. Here's my list.
1. A/C won't hold a charge
2. Heater leaks hot air in the summer
3. Passenger's rear window only goes down 1" and won't go back up without help.
4. 2 door lock solenoids don't work
5. ABS and Air bag lights keep winking at me
6. Converter lock-up doesn't work
7. Vacuum brake booster has a leak when you press hard on the brake
8. rear wiper has a mind of it's own.
BUT it starts every time and runs perfectly. I guess I'm okay with that.
