History:
Bought my first WJ in November after coming from years in the XJ world. Drove it a couple days, just fine.
One day on my way home from work, CEL...thing feels like its taking off in 2nd or 3rd gear.
P1757, did some research..clearly a common issue.
Went to ebay, bought Genuine Mopar Parts, I bought both the solenoid and the sensor.
I managed to clear the code and have 0 issues for a few days by just resetting the PCM, the code would just randomly pop back up.
Put int he new sensor and solenoid, no problems, used 4 new qts of ATF-4 to fill it back up. Everything was mint for about a month.
TODAY..same thing, sitting at a light, CEL..takes off in 3rd. P1757.
Thoughts?
Im getting ready to start the build..and would like to get this resolved.
1999 WJ, 4.0, 42re, NP242 140k
(I should also mention that shutting the Jeep off, and back on will fix the issue but I still have the code.

Okay, my code book says a P1757 is governor pressure above 3 psi at 0 mph. It's possible the governor is sticking.

Not very familiar with transmissions.
I do know the solenoid and sensor are brand new.
And that it has a new filter, and fresh fluid.
Also, it goes and comes randomly

Most of my transmission experience is with GM's THM 350 and THM 700R4. On those, the governor is under a bubble cover on the side of the transmission and is a snap to change. I haven't a clue what Mopar did with it.
