I drive a 2008 Grand Cherokee Laredo that has no factory rails.
After searching Thule, Yakima, this site, and a few others I have been unable to find any way of installing basic crossbars for transporting bikes, canoes, etc.

Until I save the money to buy it from my father (at least a few years) the vehicle belongs to him meaning welding and the like is not an option.

Any help that ya'll would be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.

IDK about your 2008, but earlier years had two black strips on the roof that covered the mounting holes for the factory rails.

It does. My Dad was told that they don't offer aftermarket rails though.

So it looks like you'll have to buy the Mopar rails.

Okay, on that page is listed production cross bars. In the description it says something about including the rails and mounting hardware. Check it out.
