Default Fuse box=mind blown

Hi all. Total noob here, and also to jeeps.
I just got into a 2000 Grand jeep cherokee larado.

I think I either have a blown fuse, or a brake light switch problem.

I found the fuse box under the dash. There sure is a lot of them, Huh?
The thing is, there is no way to get a tester in there to even check the fuses, is there some kind of trick?
Does the fuse box drop down or something? I don't get it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Joe

Pull a fuse and look at it. You will know it's bad then.

Well of course. But they're practically impossible to get to.
My friend has a GJC limited and I could test or pull every fuse, but I might need to rent a child with really small hands and tiny pliers to get to mine.

if they went in, then they can come out....they do sell very small needle nose pliers...and check them with a meter when you get them out, sometimes they look good but they are not.
