Default Finally finished my engine swap!

After almost 4 weeks I finally finished my engine swap. Started it up yesterday and didn't throw any check engine lights or anything and ran perfectly! Only problem is I am leaking power steering fluid because one of the lines to my fan got cross threaded but other than that it runs great! I am so glad I did this and feel very relieved that I got it finish and that it actually works. This has been a great experience and now I got a jeep for free!

Great job! I know professional mechanics that could not have done that job in 8 weeks, and they would have had some screw ups to fix in the process.

Awesome man. That feeling when you first fire it up and everything works must be amazing. I'm definitely jealous! congrats bro and good luck with your future in the offroad/auto industry.

Just as a reminder, you don't always have to work for somebody else. Of course you should apprentice and learn as much as you can by working for others, but at some point you can take a risk and open up your own shop once you start getting some regular clients.

I'm not saying steal them from someone else--that'd be messed up. But I'm saying get your feet wet, establish a name for yourself, and do your own thing.

A lot of people from my generation and younger don't seem to know the meaning of entrepreneurship.

I've built many engines in my day and some race motors. I still feel a tingle when a motor fires up for the first time, especially a race motor! My buddy used to shout "IT'S ALIVE!!!" It's especially satisfying when it settles down to a perfect idle. You know that you've done everything right.
