Have a few things that I'm curious about. This is my first ZJ ( 97 Laredo ). I have 3 XJs and a TJ before. I have tried researching each question but some of them are ridiculously long an can't seem to find others. Hopefully one person can answer them all... Lol

1- difference in 97 laredo and TSI? My title says Grand Cherokee Laredo TSI... What does this mean?upgrades? I know most ZJs have select-trac and mine has the NP231 command trac. How do I find out exactly what my jeep has? For example LSD? rear axle? Upgrades?

2- my abs light is on, but I can't remember if it was on BEFORE I ripped my rear brake lines out... Yes I was an idiot and wrapped the strap around the axle and tore out my lines. Junkyard and 30min later I replace them. Didn't know if this is a common light to have?

3 coolant level sensor, I just put a brand new one on, yet every now and then my system says the sensor is bad.....lol

Instrument cluster lights going out. At night I can only see the right half of my speedo. The rest of the cluster is very dim. UNLESS I press the slider for dimness in and then the light go bright, until I let go an then back to dim dashboard again.... Thanks on advance for any help guys...

 

1. take Id number to dealer he can tell you what you have.
2. ABS light well you most likely need to have it looked at.. light means not working right.
3. sensor try to get one out of JY and see if it still does does... sometimes they are just bad OH check the wiring real good

4. Sounds like you switch pod is bad.. had to replace mine. to get the dash lights to work.
