If i was going to make my own i would use a solid stock of aluminum and put it on a lathe. But most people do not have lathes for no how to work them. This is the only way i would make my own.

Aluminum isn't to bad($) for what material you would need but good aluminum welders are hard to find. Very susceptible to having the welds crack. Even if they are good welds. Solid stock would be best but why not just go to ebay and pick up a set(all 4) for 55-60$. That's what I did and they work great.

I would just grab them off ebay but being from PEI Canada shipping costs are from 40-50 dollars for the four spacers just wondering if there is a way to save 100 dollars
