engine misses when cruise control is on

engine misses when cruise control is on
96 gc with straight 6....i was driving down the freeway and hit the cruise control...the engine started skipping and missing...as soon as i turned the cruise off it ran fine...engine light came on with codes 12 and 43...anyone ever had this problem before?

Sounds like a massive vacuum leak. Probably a ruptured diaphragm in the cruise control actuator.
