Default Death Wobble Trouble

I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 4 inch lift and 2 inch coil spacers. I have done eveything in the book to get rid of the wobble. My husband is a mechanic and HE can't even figure it out. The Jeep Pros from Jeepers Den in Orlando Florida has put their hands in fixing it but nothings workin. Would taking out the spacers rule out my problem or do I need to sell it?

From what I have found on my xj with death wobble is that it is caster, or worn parts could just be a part or parts going bad that don't look bad now but will soon!

The thing is, we have replaced everything from the rotars to the control arms. We've rotated tires, replaced ball joints, upper and lower control arms, added adjustable on the uppers, the trac bar, bushings, etc. The techs at Jeepers Den said if the adjustable control arms don't work, I have 2 options left. Either buy an extension arm ?? that's over 2k or take out the 2" spacers. We've already put in enough money to buy an srt-8. If only I would of known, that's what I would of done.

"You should also replace the steering stabilizer shock if you've got more than 90,000 miles or so on your Jeep." - Kolak

everyone i asked about doing 4" lift with 2" spacers said it would cost way too much. might as well buy 6" long arm kit

Un-Balanced tires, Alignment, broken wheel stud, U Joint, Tie Rod End, Ball Joints, Part of the rack or pinion, Idler arm, bad steering stabilizer, Trac bar(bushings, angles, bolts), Axle mounts, control arm bushings, steering box bolts/spacers, frame(cracks in the frame could make the steering box feel loose), driveshaft unbalanced, bent wheel. Thats all I could think of now.

The geomtry between the steering linkage from the pitman arm to the tierod has to match the angle of the track bar. If those two items are moving in different archs as the axle moves up and down you're going to get a wobble and bump steer. Four inches of lift with the stock lower control arms aint gonna do it any good either.

My only idea would be to go over all the parts you have replaced and check them for damage. "DW" tends to destroy parts, mainly our bushings. Also check to make sure everything is tight. I know it seems simple but once the jeep gets wobbleing many things will loosen up. My DW was fixed by replaceing the track bar. But recently it has came back and I found my control arm bushings are trashed. Now Im replacing those and that should tighten it up.
