dana 30 ring & pinnion

does anyone know if there is a difference on the ring and pinion from a 93 to a 97 and up? I'm trying to purchase a 5.13 set and the only ones I can find say for 97 and newer. I'm trying to figure out if they will fit a 93.

Did they from a HPD30 to a LPD30 in 97 up GC's then that would make a big difference. My 04 WJ has a LPD30 in it I know not sure when they changed.

As far as I know, every ZJ had a low pinion D30.

All grands are low pinion so are most of the wranglers also,The xj is the lucky one with the high pinion.

There might be a problem with that big a ring gear in the early D30 case, IDK. I DO know enough about differentials to know that raising the pinion decreases the load on the gears and changes the shape of the gear teeth making them stronger. What are you running for a REAR axle?
