So ive come to a cross road and would really like some fellow members input.
my jeep has currently a dana 30 front and 35 rear, i got lucky and found a 8.8 lsd geared at 4.10 , which is the gearing i wanted to move to anyhow. im currently geared at 3.55 , should i keep the stock dana 30 in front , get it regeared along with axle tube seals and a over haul kit or go to a high pinon 30 from a Cherokee classic and do all of the same things? or be patient and pay to have a 44 shortened? im running 33's atm ,thanks!!! oh and heres the swap kit with truss i picked for the rear

All the tj come with the same LP as the grand does and they all for just fine. I have one in the wifes TJ and 35's and my grand has 32's and LP with the 5.9 and it works fine. If you take your time looking around you may be able to find a cheap HP d30.

Yeah, I just recently got a Ford 8.8 and started prepping it for swapping it. Build thread here http://www.lsjc.org/board/showthread...8-8-Swap-on-XJ
Same specs as you listed, 4.10 and LSD.
Luckily, I'm already geared 4.10s though and have the HP30.
I've read the HP30 is the stronger too (has to do with weight/pressure of gear sitting on top of the other I guess. Pinion is the smaller so having that on top is better). So yeah if you can find one that is a good jump.
