Default Cranks but wont start.

I bought a 94' bone stock ZJ with a running 5.2. The plan is to let the kids use it for the next couple of years to build their driving skills.
PO said bad computer. He had another computer in the rig and I got the Jeep to start on that but it wouldn't stay running. The PO said he would have issues from time to time with the security system and he would have to walk around and do the reset process.
I saw someone had done the ground out trick. After digging around a little I found several wires busted in the door jamb. Go figure! There are several wires spliced into down by the kick panel. It looks like the diagnostic port that is supposed to be under the steering wheel was cut out.
If anyone has the wiring schematic for the diagnostic port and maybe a place to order a new one I'd appreciate it.
I have a Haynes manual somewhere but since my whole shop is still in boxes I can't find it.
The next item I'd like to ask about is the driver door harness. Do you guys take the harness out to fix all the broken wires or just order a new harness? If you order one, where from?

When I lived near a pick n pull I would just go there. These days that's an hour and a half one way. Trying to avoid the ole' salvage yard.

More questions to come as I drive in deeper, repair wiring and start really trying to figure out if the computer is bad or if it's just the alarm told the computer to shut things down.

My 93 ZJ had same problem, would crank but not start. I replaced ignition coil and that solved it. Hope this helps.
Don't know about alarm. The OP had pulled all the wires and everything else from it.

Good luck!

I can get it to start with a different PCM, but it won't stay running. The coil should be good. Time will tell.

Crankshaft position sensor is next. I replaced mine which solved the intermittent dying out problem!

Noted. It'll be a couple of weeks before I get back to the Jeep. I mended the harness in the driver's door and charged the battery. I got it to clear the security CEL. It still wouldn't start. I have a feeling something else is keeping the injectors fr feeding it. But then again, I didn't get even a sputter when I poured gas down the throttle body.
