1998 Grand cherokee limited 5.2 driver seat not working - help please
Hey All! I have a 1998 Jeep grand Cherokee limited 5.2L automatic with 100,000 miles on it.
The drivers seat controls are not working at all. None of them. The passenger controls work just fine...
So far I have checked....
All fuses, non are blown
Relays, the passenger seat works just fine so that leads me to believe it is not a relay issue
I have 12v power at the plug that goes to the seat
I took the control switch panel off the drivers side and brought it to the passenger side to see if it was a bad switch but it moved the passenger side just fine so that leads me to believe its not a switch problem...
I have 12v power coming into the control switch harness
I hot wired one of the motors and it moved....
I removed the memory seat module which is under the driver seat
and I can see one of the diodes is possibly fried.....so my question is...could a bad memory seat module cause the whole seat not to work...?
I have been chasing my tail for the last day trying to trouble shoot it..Any other things I could trouble shoot to trace down the issue?!
Engine: 4.3L with headers and full 3" exhaust system
Yes, I think it is very possible. I think it all goes through that module to control the seats. If you need one, I would have to check but I think I have one in the parts rig as well as a seat if you have black leather
Hey bud! thanks for the reply! I would love to take you up on that offer! I do have the black leather. Is yours a heated seat as well? Let me know if you have one and how much you want for it ! Thanks again!
