Hey everyone, I have a 1998 jeep cherokee limited 5.2 that is new to me.... It was taken really good care of, has 100,000 miles but the DRIVERS seat controls do not work at all as well as the seat heater.


So far here is what ive done for the seat controls....

The seat is currently removed
Checked all fuses and none are blown..
Passenger seat controls all work (don't think its a relay because they are both on the same one)
Took the DRIVER seat controls module over to the passenger side and it worked just fine and moved the passenger seat so that leads me to believe the actual controls switch is fine
I have 12v of power coming from the harness going to the seat. I have 12 v at the harness that plugs into the seat control module.

I hot wired one of the motors and it moved

Current I just pulled out the memory seat module which is under the drivers seat and noticed one of the diodes on it looks possible burnt......Could this memory seat module cause the whole seat not to move?

I have search almost all the forums for this issue but haven't found a good answer yet.....

For the heated seat I haven't taken off the seat cover to investigate if I have an issue with the element yet...once I figure out while the seat is moving Ill get to that.....Any all all help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
