Default a couple light questions.

So guys im getting some DDM hids for the xj . I'm used ddm before in other cars so I know they are good kits.My question is are they any issues people have while 4wheeling with hids? I'm planning on getting 55watt 10k so I'll have plenty of light. Not sure which bulb I have to get but Google is king.I also have another question on lights.I am thinking of ordering some lights from Kevin's off-road .they have a budget deal for 4 light's for 89 bucks .has anyone ran these .and how is the out put of the lights.they will be mounted on a rola roof basket which are priced great.

Unless DDM includes housings I think you've got ALOT more work ahead of you.

Our headlights use sealed beam style bulbs. You change out the entire assembly, not just a small bulb.

Most after market housings SUCK, so if you aren't careful your headlights will suck and blind people.

I went with HID projectors from NorCalMr2.com, basically plug and play.

Dont get the 10k kit, too much blue/purple in the light output. If you want the best lumens get around 4-5k. Its the whitest light output. If these are going in aux lights make sure all connections are sealed so water wont get in and have fun!

As Gee Oh Dee said, Norcalmr2.com has some decent projectors for the XJs. You could always do a retrofit yourself.

Not trying to jack this thread, but what are the power demands of HID lighting as opposed to halogen quartz?

Thanks, Gee oh Dee. I'll have to do some research. I'm interested in HIDs but never bothered to check on them.
