1999 jeep grand cherokee transmission will not shift from first , except whe i rive it up , have change fluid and filter, and speed sensor and cleaned all elect connection with elect plug cleaner , what is the next step, the codes is 1776 sensor code what do i do where is the sensor located

i am new to this ,so if i mess up slap me , i posted about my transmission in my 1999 jeep grand cherokee not shifting to 2nd gear it a 4.0 6 cyl , and i havent had a reply yet , may i get a answer please

i ask a question yesterday at 2.02pm and have yet to get a straight answer ? DO YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET A ANSWER ARE WHAT HIS ANSWER WAS CHECK THE FLUID MY 7 YR OLD GRANDSON COULD HAVE ANSWERED THAT

Chill out dude. Are you aware of how many people that don't know how to properly check their transmission fluid level? Most people don't check it properly and never open the owners manual to see how to do it. I don't have the correct answer for you, but I also won't give you a wrong answer.

Old fart with a wrench
It's even imprinted on the stick. Check in neutral. NOT PARK! The reason for this is the pump is not on line when in park but is in neutral. The fluid level can drop a quart or more in neutral. Also, if trying to warm up your vehicle in the extreme cold, shift to neutral so the fluid goes thru the cooler and will warm faster.
