Clunking from right rear
Hiya guys,
I got a hellava cluckin noise comin from the right rear of my 98 GC 5.9 Limited. I can get it to do it when I push the rear end to the left and when I go over a small bump and take a left turn but not when I turn right and sometimes when I go over a big bump. I was told it was a shock but idk if it's that or a shackle or something. Anyone have this problem and can help me out?

I have the same thing. honestly I think its either something in the Leaf pack, shake and or the Rear Sway Bar. I'm actually going to remove mine tomorrow or maybe later today. I'll let you know if it helps.

Welcome to CF!
If you have a Grand Cherokee, you don't have rear leafs. They are coils. It could be a bad trackbar bushing or axle bearing.

I just had the dust plate rust out and the little hold down for the parking brake shoes let go and the spring wound up in the ABS tone wheel. Thought for sure I blew a wheel bearing, makes a heckuva click and crunch. What a terrible design for a p brake. Disc brake with a miniature drum brake too., self adjuster, hold down springs, ..yuk.. Only good part was you can just take it all off and still have the disc work fine.
