hey, i replaced my 225/70/16 tires with 245/75/16 tires last week and ever since i've been have a clicking noise in the front end, and its not the tires rubbing I checked them they rub a little on the sway bar at full turns. The clicking is there starting off but it goes away when you hit like 70 kilometers an hour, it gets worse when you turn any little bit. thanks for any help.

my 94 5.2 had cv's and i swapped out the d30 for a d30 with u joints. I think the v8s all had CV's while the 4.0s have U joints. Probably something to do with most V8s having awd while most 4.0s had a 231 TC. I don't know, just a thought. Also, when I had CV's it would make noises when I had the wheel turns a bit and started to go. The boots looked like they were new but I guess some one replaced torn boots and the CV's were worn out. I would look into swapping out axles or something.

Approx. 90% of all ZJ 93to 98 have cv joints in the front whether the came with a I6 or V8. If you have u joints consider yourself lucky. I'm getting ready to convert mine over to U joints. The fact that they come with solid axles doesn't mean anything. Just because it has CV joints doesn't mean it has independent suspension. I think when people hear cv joints they think of IFS.
