Clearing Codes

CEL came on was getting major evap leak for code found a big hole in vapor canister replaced was wondering if i have to clear the code or will the PCM figure it out and clear it it's a 1997 zj 5.2 thanks

Engine: 4.0, new lifters valve job with new springs and exhaust valves, preload set with shims

It will clear by itself or you can clear it. If you wait the CEL might go out soon but the scanner will still show a code set, idk for how long or if it will at all. So I'd probably clear it.
If you clear it yourself all the emissions monitors will reset but not the fuel mapping, so mileage won't suffer.
