I am getting ready to change the plugs in my '00 WJ 4.0 and have already purchased Champ RC12ECC's. I've read about the boots and springs under the coil pack and the warning about replacing the boots if they are deteriorated. Because this is my only vehicle and am doing it in my driveway without any means of chasing parts except a taxi, My though was to buy all new boots as a precaution. Should I buy new springs as well? This vehicle has 160K miles on it and IDK when they've been done before. I'm not having any issues with starting or performance, but winter is coming and I'd like to not have problems. Your thoughts please.
Just inspect them after removing the coil pack rail. There are only 4 bolts that hold the coil pack in place. If they look bad just put the coil pack back on after replacing spark plugs and buy new boots when you get the chance.

Okay, I guess I was just getting **** retentive about it. I was just concerned about having to replace something without some way to go get it. Apparently they aren't shorting out now so they'll at least work. Thanks for the support.
