Default Car Electrical Problems

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I noticed that my key fob wasn't working to unlock the car so I replaced the battery this is when things get weird. If I drive the car daily the key fob unlocks and locks the car no problem but if it sits for a day and I don't drive it the key fob doesn't work. I have to physically unlock the car and then the door lock button and unlock doesn't work for the whole car it only works for the drivers side door. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to fix this or if you have experienced it.

Okay, here's my theory. IDK where the RKE (remote keyless entry) receiver is in your 97, but in my 2000, it's attached to the passenger's door switch unit. You may have a broken wire in the flex wire bundle between the door and the body. This can make or break contact at will! I have one in my driver's door harness that turns off the entire switch unit when the door is more than 1/2 open. Also my passenger's rear window doesn't work at all. Well, it'll go down, but not up! I ran it up by hotwiring the motor, but pulled the plug until spring.

At least it's something to check out. The whole system runs thru the BCM (body control module).

I'm going to try and check it out tomorrow. I have to look up where the receiver unit is on a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.

So I checked it out. Believe it or not I think it had to do something with the radio. The stock radio would randomly cut out or stop working but not blow the fuse so I replaced it. The minute I changed it the key fob worked no problem. The freaking horn even beeps when I lock it now. Thank you for the advice and the help.
