A/C Compressor question
Yesterday, my 01 GC Laredo's radiator went south. Bought a replacement and three hours later was installed and test running to check for leaks. While doing that I heard and saw my A/C compressor cycling on and off. I went inside the cabin to see if my A/C button was accidently on, nope, everything was off. I turned on the A/C then turned it back off. Went back out the 4.0l that was still running. No change, compressor still cycling on and off.
Is this supposed to be happening? Even when its in the 30's outside.

You said everything was off but were you using the defroster or a defroster position? The defroster uses the A/C compressor to remove the moisture in the air. If its super cold outside the A/C pressures may be too low to engage the compressor though. There could also be a problem with the A/C compressor relay and/or circuits.
