I know this sounds stupid, but is the passenger's side a 15" rim? The 1999 and up jeeps went to 16's because of the larger brakes. The bolt pattern changed as well, but I've been told Dodge truck rims will fit them.

If the tire on the driver's side is a 70 series and the one on the passenger's side is a 75 series, they'd look about the same.

I have a 99, stock 15" wheels. The 16s only came special order or with the limiteds as far as I know. I think the brakes fit in either one.

OP, I don't know much about the grands but is it possible there is a left and right side caliper? Maybe you have em mixed. If all else is right. Id say just grind down the caliper where it hits. It may be that your wheel is slightly bent, try rotating the wheels/tires see if another one does it.

Just throwing stuff out...

There is a left and right side caliper, but it has to do with bleeder screw positions, not size.

My 2000 WJ has large rotors and calipers, 16" rims and is a base model. The only option it has is 245 tires. There is minimal clearance between the calipers and the rims and I don't think a 15 would fit. When I got rid of my ZJ, it had brand new tires on it and I looked into fitting them to the WJ. I could get Dodge or Ford truck rims to fit the bolt pattern, but was told by several people they wouldn't clear the brakes. I wound up selling my ZJ for what I spent on the tires.

My WJ has double piston Teves calipers.

Thank you everyone for your replies. It turned out to be the wire clip, amazing how such a little piece makes such a big difference

So I guess you have the Teves calipers then. Good in my opinion.
