If it IS going into the booster, it may be being sucked into the engine and burned. Take the vacuum hose off the booster and see if it's wet inside.

the weather is better today to look around some more--will check the vacuum hose --the only spot I can't get a good look at the lines is where they exit the engine near the firewall/exhaust--but I would see dripping if there was a leak??? thanks for the help

Did you check the hose??? It's possible the booster is the cause of the leak!!!

hose was dry--can you explain the booster causing the leak-anyway replaced the MC and bled it as good as i can--now having a hard time getting air out of the front brakes --seems as if air is getting drawn in somehow --tested the fittings and grommets for the res.--can't see any problems --enough for today--thanks

If the booster diaphragm has a hole in it, it can cause the vacuum to pull fluid past the seals. This doesn't very often happen, but is does.
There is a shuttle valve in the system that shuts off part of the system if there is a leak. On the older systems, there is sometimes a rubber cap on one end that you press to re-center the valve. On my '00 WJ with ABS brakes, I had to open all 4 bleeders and pump the brakes to get fluid flowing again. All I had done when this happened was to change the front calipers.

Well the conclusion to my ordeal--after endless attempts to bleed the front brakes the jeep was taken to my local mechanic--it turns out the new MC i installed was defective out of the box---he put in a new one and the jeep is back on the road--i did get a full refund for the bad one but still spent money on a job i could have and did do--filed a complaint on the stores website but not expecting any satisfaction for my loss of time and money--thanks for the responses--this site is great as usual

Yeah, it sucks when that happens and it's getting more frequent. I believe that has to do with parts made overseas, and very few aren't today. The problem also extends to US parts made cheaply to compete.
