Axle question regarding lift.
I've got a 1998 grand cherokee laredo. I'm definitely on a budget so I was looking at the rough country 3.5" lift. It has a disclaimer saying if you have a CV type drive shaft then there will probably be vibration which will require more parts to remedy the vibration. I'm a total newb any help would be appreciated, so my question is does anyone know if the CV axle is OEM or am I good to go with the lift?

If you have the NP249 transfercase the front driveshaft and axle shafts will have CV joints. The NP249 is an all wheel drive transfercase, the CV joints offer smoother operation while turning. The front driveshaft can be swapped for a ujoint shaft.

Hey thanks man! So I have the shifter bar on the floor to engage 4x4 this would mean I do not have that transfer case and then again not the CV joints correct?

If you t/case shifter only reads "4hi, N, 4lo", you've got the 249 t/case.
My 2000 WJ has the 242 t/case, but it has a CV shaft to make it feel smoother on the street. The 99+ WJ was an effort to sell more jeeps to people who wanted a 4x4 that was everyday drive-able for family street use, but still capable in the dirt. At the time, the biggest contender was the Ford Explorer which was big, heavy, and expensive.
