Alignment Grand Cherolkee 2001
Question - Have 2001 Grand Cherokee. 3 years ago, 4 new tires had it aligned at a Heep Dealer (had a coupon). 60k tires made it to 45k (inspection) about 3.5 years. They wore on the outside (I did rotate them/not as much as I should have but did rotate them). Now for inspection had to buy 4 new tires (17" wheels so theyre a bit salty). This car drives very straight. So why they wearing on the outsides(front). I understand its too much toe in that wears on the outside. some say...thats just thew way 4x4 Jeeps are. Im not interested in realigning because I have read plenty of others with same problem have aligned theirs twice and have same result. If it were a straight forward adjustment like a rear drive car I'd just turn rod ends out a hair. Using tape measure method like lots do on youtube videos. Any suggestions (besides go get it aligned) any videos of somebody doing a minor adjust at home to bring toe out out a tiny bit ? thanks

Old fart with a wrench
As I found out when I had my Camaro, front tires tend to wear out fast on the outer edges if you drive hard and throw it around corners. The other thing is too much toe-in. You can adjust the toe-in yourself just like you stated. Loosen both tierod clamps and turn the center tube.
