Be gentle. Rub its back with its head on your shoulder. Try not to "pat" as that can be kinda harsh. And you may wanna have a towel on your shoulder incase of any spit up.

Take a hose loose thats at the highest point of the cooling system (usually a heater hose) Fill radiator with coolant, you can also try filling the open hose too i guess. then hook it back up and let it warm up. Most air pockets usually work themselves back to the radiator after a couple thermostat cycles though.

Another tip is at idle the water pump is not circulating near as much as say 1500-2000RPM. It usually helps to raise the RPM up to get the coolant flowing. One last tip is raising the front end of the Jeep up to try to make the radiator the highest point in the cooling system, this usually decreases the amount of air that can get trapped.

Jack the front end up until the rad cap is the highest part of the cooling system, remove the cap and let the engine run until the t-stat opens. That sould get most of the air out of the system. You may lose some coolant while doing this, so be careful and ready.

Or you could spend $15 at a parts store and get a funnel with an adaptor and plug to fill it.

That'll put the funnel at the highest point. Its a really easy tool to use, and nice to have.
