i need to replace the distributor in my 96 gc...4.0 6 cyl....i saw one in the wrecking yard (the one i got the cam sensor out of)..i'm wondering if that would work in mine...are all the 4.0 dist.'s the same?...i know in general motors vehicles after 1988 they started using roller cams and you had to have a dist with a hardened gear...is there a small window of years that will fit mine or will any dist from a 4.0 work?
