ABS Brake Light ON
I have to fix my dashboard ABS Brake Light. It has been on for some time since my mechanic tore out a viper alarm system that was giving me trouble. The brakes were not effected, it's simply that the light is permanently on.
I have to register my car in Vermont soon and so I want to fix this problem. Can anyone please advise? Thanks so much...Thomas

IDK about Vermont, but NY doesn't require the ABS to work, but with the light on, most inspectors won't touch it. Why not just pull the bulb? Or blow the filament and put it back in? That way you can play dumb.
My ABS light will come on for no reason. I'll be sitting there idling in park, I'll hear a "ding", and the light will come on. If I shut it off, wait 20 minutes, and restart, it will be off. Go figure.

HI Dave, Thanks for your response. I was over near you last summer. I was in Marcellus, lovely place. How do I get access to the bulb, being that it's underneath, that would certainly solve the problem. This way, I"m not affecting anything at all. Do I have to pop off the dashboard? Thanks again for your help. Thomas

IDK about your ZJ, but on my WJ, the whole cluster comes out with one plastic trim panel held in with clips and 4 phillips screws. I had 3 of the 5 guage bulbs burn out and replaced all of them with LEDs.
Marcellus is a nice quite mill town. It used to be the home of Camillus Knife who made Buck knives. They also made the US Navy survival knife of which I own 2. They had a big fire that destroyed the plant and it was eventually torn down. The river gorge is beautiful and the road thru there is know as "thirteen curves". Wonderful and dangerous in a sports car!
