Default 99" wj issue.

Hello all so I have a 99" wj V8 and over the weekend the overhead console starting displaying "perform service" upon starting the jeep and a series of about 3 beeps goes along with this, after a few minutes the overhead console display goes back to displaying my direction and the outside temp. I don't have any lights on in the dash area, nor have I noticed any changes in the jeep performance. The jeep is fully stock. Anyone have any ideas of what this could be referring? Could it be serious or something minor? Any help with the issue would be highly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

It's telling you that you need an oil change.

X2. You can set the overhead console to remind you of service at 3, 4, 5, and 6,000 miles. It'll keep chiming until you reset it. How long have you had the WJ? It should've been going off a long time.

Just scroll through the menu until it says "miles to service" and then hit reset.

You can also change the interval the same way.

This from a 2000 WJ owner. I use 5000 mile intervals on full synthetic. It comes out golden brown, but is whistle clean when refilled. (it's a 4.0)
