Absolutely! I recommend only Mopar parts for any sensors. You may have a throttle position sensor fault as well. Check it out with a multimeter, don't just shotgun parts at it. Also, clean the idle speed control motor and port. Both these parts are on the throttle body itself.

The crank sensor is a magnetic switch that senses the windows in the flexplate for ignition timing. It works by using a magnetic field. Mopar CPSs use a neodymium magnet where aftermarket ones usually don't. That's why they cost more, but are well worth it.

You may indeed have other problems, but with these Jeeps it is always best to use MOPAR sensors, rather than aftermarket. I don't know if that applies to all replacement parts. Being old and set in my ways, I am a believer as far as sensor and other electrical parts. They don't have to cost much more than aftermarket. There are many online MOPAR parts dealers that sell genuine MOPAR parts much cheaper than your local stealership will charge. I have also gotten great deals from EBAY. Often the cost difference between the real deal and the chain auto parts stores is negligible.

The only major problem with online sourcing is shipping costs and wait time.

AND making sure you ordered the right part!

Most of the time on EBAy shipping is at no cost. It does take a lot of research to make sure that you are ordering the exact part that you want. Wait time is an issue, but I am surprised how fast things get from point A to B. I usually limit my online purchases to routine maintenance issues. If I have to repair something quickly to get going then its not so convenient.

I learned the hard way that sometimes you're better off sourcing parts locally. I've bought a LOT of parts from rockauto with perfect luck, until I got a bad heater core that was defective in manufacture. Not their fault, but it set me back quite a bit. My mechanic told me if I had let HIM buy the part, he could have gotten the labor of replacing it back too. I wound up paying him TWICE for replacing that stinking core!

I have used this Jeep dealer in Hickory, NC to get Mopar parts at a
discount. You can order online or by telephone. Helpful people.

Rockauto carries them, but they are currently out of stock. They do have a "notify me" thing when they get new stock. My P&P takes them out, but they leave them in the back cargo area with the pumps pulled out. Some places just punch holes in them to drain them.
