Default 98 zj pulls to the right.

so ive got a 98 zj 4x4 4.0L. so far suspension wise i have replaced both hubs, and both upper and lower balljoints. My issue is that it pulls to the right and im trying to figure out why. Ive already aligned it. Camber was perfect. Toe wasnt bad enough to matter. My caster was more negative on the right which i thought could be this issue since thats the main cause of a pull. So i adjusted the right side all the way forward and the left all the way back to make the lefts as negative as possible. Still same issue. Its got good tires. That track bar is newish. All wheels spin smoothly, and ride height is correct. The only thing that was off at all was the thrust angle. But it was only .15 degrees to the right. Which is not much at all. Anybody have this issue? Im an ASE certified alignment tech and just my luck, the car i wanted i cant get to stop pulling. Its the only model i have an issue with.

I would cross the front tires and see if the pull goes to the left or is gone. Does the steering wheel follow the pull and start turning to the right as you drive?

What busted back said. Dont matter if tires are new or old, they can cause a pull.

Have you tried having someone follow you to make sure it tracks straight? It may have been in an accident and improperly repaired.
Also check the rear axle for any bent control arms, bent trac bar, or a bent axle housing, as this could cause this issue too. Any of these items could cause the rear tires to follow a different path than the front.

I have put 4 tires on and still the same thing. It really only pulls on a rightside crown in the road. A leftside crown and it drives straight. All my calipers are good too. I dont think its been in an accident but i bought it used. Idk maybe ill habe to get adjustable arms. Its just crazy that a thrust angle that would normally cause it to dogtrack, is possibly causing a pull

Yes the wheel follows the pull to the right. It only goes so far before it sits still. Bit its enough to be a pain. But like i said it doesnt pull when on a left side crown. With these symptoms alone i suspectes bad caster bit ro no avail

When I was doing alignments for a living many years ago, I would set the toe so the steering wheel was slightly off to the right to compinsate for road crown. Try and align your Jeep with somebody sitting in the front seat that weighs about the same as you, that is the only true way it's gonna be accurate, angles do change with load. Does it go straight on a flat road?

For the most part it drives straight on a flat. But as i said before the wheel turns to the right when it pulls but i can feel the pull before it even passes center. So basically i know i will have the same pull but the wheel will be turning to the right even more if i set it to the right a little.

Next step will probably be upper and lower arms.

Update... Had my jeep on the lift today and as usuall was checking things out hoping to find whats making it pull. While under the center of the jeep i used the pinchweld as a reference and looked at the tires and noticed the entire axle appears to be to the left about an inch or two. Im going to measure it to see if its on center while its on the ground to be sure. Starting to think my track bar is too short.
