Default 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ignition Switch

I’m a female (yeah I know that doesn’t mean I have minimal knowledge on cars but this one does) and had an issue with my vehicle dying while driving. Went through two mechanics and the dealership. Finally found the problem til this happened:

my friend’s son is a junior mechanic for Honda. He thought maybe the problem was an ignition switch, it wasn’t. The car finally wouldn’t even start and was towed to a mechanic who realized the issue was a previously misdiagnosed (dealership said it was fine) throttle control. So anyways, this kid ripped open the ignition switch and was done for the day, never came back and the car again wasn’t starting. When I got it back from the mechanic the Vehicle has driven without stopping since, no issue etc. However, the windows, radio, windshield wipers only work in accessory mode. I know he replaced the ignition switch, so could he have wired it incorrectly? All of these things worked before he started messing with it. Is there anything I can do to fix it without having any vehicle experience minus changing my oil, refilling other fluids etc?
