Ignition switch recall problem
Hi,
I have a 2005 Grand Cherokee and there was an ignition switch recall. When I got it back it stuck a bit and sometimes had a hard time starting. Then it losened up.
Well, my car wouldn't start the other day. Just a click. I jumped it and nothing. Called the dealer, where I had the new ignition switch put in and the guy seemed to think it was the new switch. He asked if I got new keys with it, I said no. He stated that I really should have.
I had my car towed to the dealer and they say that it's my trigger wire and it will cost $230.00 to fix. Don't seem right to me. My car is there and not sure what to do. Any thoughts?
