Rear e-brake lever and cam are frozen together and won't come apart. Will any damage occur if the pads are removed and the lever and cam are tied off? I'm havn't used parking brake in 10 years and use this jeep for home use mostly.

If you remove the rear pads remember you'll loose a lot of stopping power when you're moving backwards, the front tires will lock up very easily. Just be very sure the pistons can't fully extend and touch the rotors, it'll make one hellava noise.

I have NO clue as to what this guy is talking about. The E-brake is purely mechanical and will be fine without the shoes and other loose hardware. The only thing is, the drum will rust so if you need the e-brake for state inspection, fix it soon.
