Cool 98 GC ZJ - Heater Problems

Hi All, Few months ago the blower motor started working randomly, If I somewhat forcefully tapped on dash near glove box door it would start again. then it just quit all together. I've replaced Blower motor Resistor, Then a new blower motor, Still not working so I opted for the (Non-ATC) Heater / AC switch on the dash but that didn't fix it either. So I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this. I've also checked the blower motor 40 amp fuse located in engine compartment, It's good as well. No fuses blown in fuse panel inside under dash. I'm out of ideas... Any suggestions ? Thanks for your help

This happened to me as well. The harness connector to the blower motor is located behind glove box right underneath it. The wires will burn out causing faulty connections, depending on how bad they are you could repin or splice wires

Cool Thank You

I briefly thought about checking the connection plug for the blower motor but I was sure i plugged it in very secure, Never thought about looking further back on the harness but you are probably right, it would make sense to fail there considering that I could get it to work sometimes by striking the dash until it completely shorted out. I will be checking today ASAP ! This is why I love this forum.... Again, TY

As I said, You were correct.... Found a short in the power line to the blower motor behind the glove box. It was a few inches above the blower motor plug. Again I want to say thank you for your help. God Bless !
