This morning my 97 Laredo 4.0 would turn over but, not start. Then I noticed none of the gauges were working, didn't hear the fuel. Connected my OBDII scanner but, it can't communicate/read any codes. Lights work, radio works, all other electrical seems okay. Any suggestions, recommendations?

my 2001 jeep gc is doing the same thing, no codes, no pump sounds, but cranks over, scanner states error when checking codes, but works on my other vehicles

Bad ground on the computer maybe?

Possible ignition switch failure. Sounds like you're getting the accesories but not the ignition circuits.
