Weird Noise When Turning Right or Applying Brakes. HELP!
I am sure this question has been asked but I could not a definite answer so I wanted to ask it myself.
Every time I am turning right, such as an intersection or into a parking space or slowing down to a stop (it is not the brakes), I get this weird rubbing/ gargling/ maybe even soft grinding noise coming from the middle console/ shifter area. I cannot figure out exactly what it is but I did check if it was rubbing on anything but I cannot see any worn areas.
Note that it is not a loud, obnoxious sound like metal on metal makes but rather a rubbing sound such as rubber, plastic, or something of the sort.
I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. 4.7L V8 w/ selec-trac. No lift and nothing special. (YET!)
