97 Grand rotting doors
I have 220K on my baby and I noticed the lower sections of my doors are rotting away. Its my DD mostly during the winter and some somertime and it is really clean but in the spring I may have to replace all the doors AND hatch due to the rot at the door skin seams. Cant really properly fix this. Any suggestions? Would it be worth locating another set of doors and swapping them out?

If the doors are rotting, look for cancer in other areas too, wheelwells and floor boards would be just a couple to inspect.

Yeah the rot is going up under the body cladding. I think its to late but I may have to remove the cladding. How do you do that and replace it if I want to keep it?

Yeah I looked at the worst door seam and its punky. I could put a screw driver through the bottom if I tried. I roamed through a local salvage yard and found some solid doors and some as bad as mine. Kinda wierd how some were mint and others were junk. I wonder is it was a manufacturer thing, or plant location that some used crappy metal or what. I have a feeling I'll be swapping doors to keep her solid. Easier that patching lower skins
