I recently picked this up over the weekend, the guy had recently replaced all the brakes/rotors. The clip keeps popping off when ever I apply the brakes. Do I need to replace the whole proportioning valve or just the plastic clip?

 

Start with the clip, naturally. Aside from a weakened/broken clip what else could cause that to happen? Any other answers would be followed with a why...
