Default 96 grand new owner

just picked up a grand with a 6" lift, sliders, and a new set of 31's and i am one happy camper to officially be part of the jeep club!. there is some work i would like to do to it and some electrical gremlins that need to be sorted out and i dont know anything about these jeeps. I was hoping someone has a soft copy of an owners manual and possibly a repair manual they could share? it would really help me flatten out that learning curve!

Download a Full Service Manual from pacificcoastmanuals.com for $7.99+tax. It's 93mb of compressed pdf files and the BEST manual I've ever seen. It's year specific so make sure you choose the right one.

dave1123,

Thanks for the manual tip. I have a Chiltons but a more year specific is great. Haven't look through it yet, but thanks again.

Oh, boy! are you in for a surprise! I had a problem with my turn signals and I printed out the section on it. 14 pages with diagnostic procedures, connector pin-outs, everything! Even component locations! It turned out to be my flasher. Mine is a 9-pin unit with 3 separate logic circuits in it! The left turn signal quit but everything else worked perfectly.

dave1123,

Started to look through it. I may have a starter related problem (see starter or neutrals safety switch, minor mech. thread). Planning on cleaning all terminals sometime but point is the manual has a great step by step proceedure with a voltmeter that can check each cable and connection before replacing bigger items.

I recommend a manual like this for all (especially for the price).

CAUTION: After ordering and downloading I received and email (I think from another site) saying "thanks for your order, open the attached file". I had already downloaded from the site I ordered it from.

This is a way some spread a virus. DON'T OPEN FILES IF YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE SENDER.
