Hey all! New poster here. I have a 2001 XJ that I bought as a running project after I sold my 2013 JKU. I'm loving the xj but this week the gremlins have come out! Here's what's going on..

Ok so I open the drivers door and start her up, runs perfect, shut the drivers door and she dies!! 😳 Open both driver side doors and she starts and runs fine. With the drivers rear door open you can shut the front door and it will stay running.

And this happens with the passenger doors also!

If I unplug the door/dome light plungers then it won't start. So I'm planning to unscrew the plungers and leave them connected inside the kick panels unless anyone has any other ideas.

When the doors are closed it kills the fuel pump.
