Scenario: I wake up in the morning and I started my car. I then drive to school and I am there from 10am to 4pm. I get to my jeep at 4pm after I am out of class, and it turned over but it is struggling to idle and it's wavering below the 1rpm mark. It took me about 3-4 times trying this before it started and able to run.

I end up going to the gas station before I went home and I turn off the Jeep, I go to my car and sure enough, it does the same thing, except this time after 3 times of trying to start it, it wouldn't even go to idling, it sounded as if you were out of gas and trying to start your car. It wasn't out of gas.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

 

Try changing the fuel filter. Check your injectors, also.

 

Check the air filter too.

 

Sounds like the IAC.(idle air control valve). Wife had a minivan that did the same thing yours is doing. I had to take it out and clean it.
