So ive finally ordered a lift for my zj its a 3" bb. its shipping from utah so i have 7-10 days till it comes in (gives me time to change me trans pan gasket) . Im wondering if im going to need to do anything extra to do or need like lengthen brake lines or a new track bar and what is the death wobble exactly and how can i combat it if i get it?
you should be good with brake lines and track bar. what about shocks??? you need new shocks if the kit dont come with them, now to death wobble, get an alighment done check bushings, make sure everything is tight, especially track bar thats what got me, i had to drill another hole and put a bigger bolt in to hold it stil at the bottom.

3" pucks are not a good idea, leaves no post for the springs to be retained. Most people do not suggest going over 2" with pucks.

not really, 3" pucks are just not safe, you can verify that on jeepforums, jeepsunlimited, grand cherokee association, all of them will same anything over 2" is unsafe.
Not too mention the ride will be absolutely horrible since the spring rate will be wacky with the pucks on top.
THe biggest safety issue is the perches are no longer long enough to retain the spring and also that much lift without adjustable arms will cause some axle rotation and the springs will bow to the front. this is not a big deal with full length springs at 3 inches but normal springs will be bowing and nothing will hold them on the pucks.
If it is a ZJ you can do a budget lift by doing a front to rear swap. You get about 3.5" of lift and only have to buy two springs. You move the heavier springs to the rear and replace the front springs with longer ones. Very popular budget swap for ZJs

like tsconver said,it's widely agreed on grand cherokee forums that 3" pucks are not safe.i suppose you could(not that i would recommend tho) do a post extension/limiting strap or something to keep the spring in but that does not solve the problems you will have with the forces being put on the springs and body mounts, etc that a 3" spacer will cause.
You should be able to cut them down as long as you're sure you can get a good straight cut...or return them and go another route.

Nice that you think of your mom that way.

Cut the pucks down ... regardless of what Jeep you put it in. A 3 inch coil spacer is a half-azz product by a quarter-azz company.
