2013 grand cherokee sudden brake
My teenage son and daughter drive my 2013 Grand Cherokee Overland (5.7L) and several times while riding with them, we've experienced a sudden brake while driving on roads above 45 mph. It was enough to lurch forward as if slamming on the brakes.
Both are new drivers, so I thought it was driver error (either a sudden acceleration and transmission shift or tap the brake). However last night I was driving at highway speed (about 60 mph) and it happened to me. It sounded and felt like the driver side right front wheel had the brake applied. My foot was on the gas, not accelerating or coasting, never touched the brake.
The Overland was purchased from a Jeep dealership last year (July 2017) and all service and checks were through the dealership. The only modifications are high intensity LED DRL replacement and rear fog lights tapped into the trailer hitch with a T-connector.
I searched these forums and found nothing. Has anyone else experienced sudden braking while driving?
Thanks.
