Default 2011 brake booster failure

I have a 2011 Jeep Cherokee that just had the brake booster recalled finished in December. Coincidentally, the brakes went out on the way to the dealer...they went out 5 days later and again two days ago. Back to the dealer. I almost hit a car and a pedestrian on this last trip. Mercifully I was able to avoid cars in front of me on the December fails. I am frustrated beyond words. This only happens in cold weather, generally when the sun comes out-sunny, cold, crisp weather. It’s not a question of if I am going to get in an accident, it’s when? Help please!

Would help to explain the symptoms . A bad booster would give you hard pedal no mechanical advantage over the master cylinder basically .

These forums are "platform specific", this one being for the XJ Cherokee up to 2001.

I'm assuming that you have a 2011 Grand Cherokee? If so, post HERE:

Hello Genell87,

We're terribly sorry to hear about the unexpected brake concern you're experiencing with your Cherokee. Have you made it back to the dealership? Our team is available via direct message and would be happy to get this over to a Case Specialist for further handling.
