2008 GC front transmission seal leak?
Recently, my 2008 would not go higher than 2000 rpms and topped out at 40, like it was stuck in gear. Auto transmission would also not shift. Local garage added fluid and seemed fine, but problem is back intermittently. Looks like fluid leaking from the front of the transmission (front seal?) and not the pan.
Any thoughts on repair options? I've never done anything this big before. Any notion of what I can expect for repairs cost if it is the front seal (or something worse)?

The transmission has to be pulled. It will cost up to a grand to fix. You may consider installing a reman transmission if you have a bunch of miles on this one. It may be more cost effective in the long run.

Busted's right. The torque convertor seal only costs about $6, but you have to pull it out to replace it.
