I have a 2005 V8 GC that intermittently will not start. It may run fine for 1-2 wks before acting up. The fuel pump has been replaced, new battery, ignition switch recall, etc. The dealer has been only able to duplicate the problem once, and couldn't diagnose before the problem went away

Initial symptoms: The vehicle will start, engine sputters, RPMs struggle to maintain 500 rpm. Given the electronic throttle control, depressing the gas pedal has no effect. This will go on for 20-30 seconds before the vehicle stalls. Immediately trying to restart after engine dies results in the engine just cranking continuously. After it's been towed to the shop, somehow the problem goes away.

It sounds electrical to me. I've tried disconnecting battery to see if it was computer related (reboot). That didn't help. The mechanic tells me he has checked all the connections and doesn't see any issue.

Any thoughts,
Tom
